Becca Kardas

As a neighbor, gardener, and proud member owner, I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that plays such a vital role in our community.

I live just steps from Five Points and believe Urban Roots is a pillar of our neighborhood — supporting sustainable practices and encouraging urban renewal. I’m deeply invested in improving the West Side of Buffalo and see this board opportunity as a meaningful way to give back, grow my network, and learn.

Professionally, I bring a detail‐oriented mindset shaped by my current role as a Senior Tax Analyst at Rich Products. My career spans public accounting and audit, manufacturing, government contracting, and e‐commerce—giving me a well‐rounded perspective and strong foundation in financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and operational insight.

Outside of work, I value creative pursuits as a knitter, theater goer and home renovator. I’m a plant enthusiast who believes in the healing power of nature and its ability to inspire joy and bring people together. In my own garden, I love to experiment with a mix of native plants and cut flowers.
