Janelle Price

Board Chair

Janelle is a Business Services administrator for the University at Buffalo, and an avid backyard gardener. She has a degree in Environmental Geosciences, and a history of outdoor recreation leadership & passion. She volunteers with a local 501c(3) not-for-profit assisting in the instruction of Wilderness First Aid. She became a Wilderness First Responder in 2022 and assists in leading excursions to Alaska over the summer.

Originally from Syracuse, Janelle moved to Buffalo in 2014 for college, with no intention of sticking around. After graduation, she found this city impossible to leave. She now considers herself a “Buffalonian”, and is happy to support the community and it’s intention to sustain green spaces for all who live here through the nation’s first and only cooperative garden market!

Her administration skills, love for the outdoors, and adoration for Buffalo make her a helpful member of the Urban Roots Board.
