A Message from Urban Roots
It is with much thought and consideration to the current situation we are all dealing with, that the Board of Directors and the General Manager of Urban Roots have decided to take pause and reevaluate the daily operations of the Garden Center.
For the safety of our Member-Owners, staff and the gardening community at large we will temporarily be suspending business for the coming 2 weeks (staring 3/18/2020). During this time we look to develop plans that will allow us to serve your gardening needs throughout the coming season while complying with best practices laid out by WHO, the CDC and our state and local governments. Know that everyone’s safety and good health are at the forefront of our concerns.
We know that gardening will be an even more important part of your lives as a means of joy, satisfaction, emotional and mental therapy along with physical wellbeing during these times of self-containment. We will be looking at ways to provide you with the supplies you need and set you up for success during the growing season. We will keep you updated regularly with our plans going forward. We appreciate your understanding and continued support of Urban Roots and look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Stay safe, stay healthy.
Side Note: Please remember that while we did have a very mild winter and spring actually looks like it might arrive on time this year it is still very early to be in the garden. Wet soil will compact if walked on and can do damage to emerging plants. Take a deep breath, make some plans for a new space or change up an existing bed, consider growing some veggies, be patient.
